The Teachers and I just wanted to say Hello in a group picture that reads, "We are not a team because we work together, we are a team because we respect, trust and care for each other." This includes all of you as well! What's so special about our school is that we work hard to build positive relationships with each other and our community. This doesn't mean we always agree with one another, it means that we take the time to understand each another, especially when it comes to our common interest... our students, your children! Thank you for being part of our Clark community, even if it's from a distance right now...

All of us at Walk n' Roll San Jose hope that your family and community are staying safe and in good health during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. With school campuses closed for the school year and all Walk n' Roll activities paused, we wanted to provide resources for families to stay informed, be active, and have fun! Reminder that students cannot be picked up before the yellow line in the parking lot. Drivers need to pull up as far as possible, past the yellow line before students may enter the vehicle.

The district has been communicating to parents based on CDC updates. I would also like to reiterate our site protocols that our district has shared. Know that we are vigilant about cleaning any common areas, such as the library, forum, bathrooms, water faucets, and classrooms to minimize the spread of germs. Click on the headline for more.

Please drive safely in and around the school and remember to follow all traffic laws. It's dangerous to cut in line to get into the school, cut through on the wrong side of the road and not stop at crosswalks for the children crossing. I have recently requested cameras from the city to be added around the school. Hopefully this will help with drop off and pick up. Thank you, Mrs. Fierro

As an alternative to sweet treats in the classroom, the school would like to encourage items like books and pencils for celebrations. Non-food rewards and incentives should be used as the first choice to encourage positive behavior.

Just a reminder that the kinder playground is closed after school because there is no supervision. It is difficult for the teachers on parking lot duty to tell who is being supervised and who is not when parents are present. This creates safety issues and the school can be held liable. Students playing on the kindergarten playground will be reminded to wait in the designated area for pick up.
